I was so delighted with doing paintings on architectural subjects in early 2023, when I was 94 years old, that I searched for a stencil that would enable me to express my feelings about skyscrapers. I had never seen any skyscrapers until I came to the United States in 1947. As I landed in New York City, I was amazed to see such massive tall structures. There were no skyscrapers in Israel, where I grew up. But I wondered even then why the skyscrapers were so colorless. In the present series, I tried to brighten up the American urban scene.
